Music of a Summer night Tall trees and 'endless' hills brush the traceless clouds that flow forever through the pure blue immensity of this late Summer afternoon, as another day slides toward sunset and down the rolling years of ever-changing seasons. By this stony mountain stream in the deepening forest cool one can taste all the simple joys of wilderness serenity and deep-time passing, until the siren call of twilight beckons a grand full moon to climb the endless dome of tremulous stars with the music of the night of a thousand infinitesimally small and hidden, wondrous things that no man shall ever own. --- b. e. adams |
