everyone has an inner sanctum it lurks even hides inside our thoughts or mind most think the inner sanctum is dark and fearsome some are I guess but they needn’t be it is really all up to you who and what your inner sanctum is once mine was such a dreary place but lately I’m seeing and feeling a change not a drastic change, but it is no longer dark inside my thoughts I’m finding much love peace and kindness the sun shines I am begging to understand that the door to my inner sanctum stays wide open and the only keys I need to enter is a heart full of love goodwill and compassion ©June 25, 2014 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ When politicians give up on liberty, it falls to poets to preserve it. Another deeply considered piece. I guess we all have that inner sanctum, that place of retreat, but it's not always easy to enter. If it holds a comfort from dark thoughts and offers peace, we surely need it. The truth is there if we seek it. Strangely, before I read this, I was about to post something similar. Not so much the inner sanctum, but the inner voice. Well written, and heartening. |

Thanks again, Redstart. I wrestled with my demons for many, many years. I finally figured out how to make them go away in October 2010. I have kept them away. Oh, I still write dark poems every so often, but they don't rule my life anymore. I appreciate your comments. ~*~ When politicians give up on liberty, it falls to poets to preserve it. I hear what you're saying, Lori. I am among the fortunate ones who somehow got it together and now am strolling into the sunlight. Thank you for your continued support. ~*~ When politicians give up on liberty, it falls to poets to preserve it. Or write its epitaph. ~*~ |

Thank you Margherita. I am a grateful man to have worked out a way to shed myself of all those gloom and doom days. ~*~ When politicians give up on liberty, it falls to poets to preserve it. Or write its epitaph. ~*~ |
