My curious heart Leads me down open roads That wind easy along the way The way to your door The birds fly above me Singing a welcome That echoes through the trees Softly tickling their leaves Gentle winds brush upon my back Whispering tales of forgotten lore Asking for a kind remembrance Of days spent with you ...just bein' Bluesy |

Bluesy, this is very beautiful! Despite the sadness, there is so much joy and happiness in the memory of the loved one, that it overflows. I love the request of a keepsake at the end. Your poem, reminds me of Arthur Rimbaud’s poem, Ma Bohème, although there was no lover, past or present in that poem – just an explosion of joy of Nature and wandering. Owl |

I love this poem! The image of the wind, helping you on the way to your love, is really moving! It's like the nature is blessing you ) |

Ahhh . . . Such a beautiful and emotional poem, Emma. You are a special person with a special gift. Keep on giving. The good Lord didn't create anything without a purpose, but mosquitoes come close. |
