it is how we compose our verse which frees us of our measured limitations the words flow the line takes shape attending to our heartfelt contemplation the keyboard has replaced ink for the most part still . . . it is word power superglue which holds us together healing wounds, soothing scars from the depth of us poetry is self analyzing mending our fears our words, simple or complicated is our outspoken oeuvre the voice of our spirit as we attempt to transfer our passion to you, dear reader poetry . . . our steadfast refuge where we dwell in complete disclosure our poetry is not the end all of our journey because, quite frankly we have the courage to seek out and dare to wonder ©June 4, 2014 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

You've got it, Jerry; hit the nail smack-bang on the head. Who else would open up their inner feelings and share them with complete strangers? Only writers of poetry, and it does us good. Top writing. |

I know you're right, Redstart. Poets put their all into the lines that they write. Appreciate your input. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

What do you mean you wonder about those four gals up there. I'm sorry you seem to find it irritating that I delete poems sometime. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

You are right. I never realized that I didn't thank you for. I don't know why I didn't. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ [This message has been edited by JerryPat2 (06-06-2014 11:06 PM).] |

Thank you so much Blues, wordancer, Emma and Ida. I apologize for just now getting around to thanking you all for stopping by and commenting on my poem. Blues pointed it out to me, and I thank her for doing so. I did NOT do it on purpose, I have no understanding why I skipped you all. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |
