A New Year… Always brings a pondering Memories that You might remember; How was that time transferred to others? Possibly sketchy at best. And age. Age has a lot to do with memories. Who doesn’t want to put themselves In a good light? Who answers truthfully To the darkness? But a New Year is best When we’ve already turned over a New Leaf; When we’ve already forgiven; When we’ve already not forgotten But all is shadowed And the lives in the mulch Of those forgotten leaves Can be reformed. For there is where new life begins; In the mulch and shadows; and when the Sun shines again, may we be ready For whatever springs forth… In the New Year. © 2013 KRJ |

I answer truthfully to the darkness, that is why I sleep easy these days. I have the forgiving thing, and most of all I have forgiven myself. Nice poem for reflection, Karilea. ~*~ All that we send into the lives of others comes back into our own. ~*~ [This message has been edited by JerryPat2 (01-03-2014 09:47 AM).] |

A new leaf is but a dream to many... Those who merely endeavor to persevere ~ May all new wishes be fulfilled |

Sissie….Such a good time of year to leave the past and start new…a celebration of the future. It's sunny here in California and almost warm. Come and visit! |

I'm looking forward to the sun shining again. Maybe flowers will spring forth from the mulch. I hope so. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |

Fine philosophic 'penning!' ... especially superb line: "Who answers truthfully To the darkness?" |

My dear friends....this is such a time for PiP....now 15 years into its' age and stage of gifting not only time and perseverance by its creator, the Wizard!, but also a stage whereby others have mingled and co-mingled with some of the best poets that will probably never see publication by the masses of books and such, but have been borne unto their own community and by some way of the Wizard, will live on and on; so I miss my friends and loved ones, including my brother who was only here a short time.... But I do miss those who have been removed, only by pagination of an "enter" bar....but not by memory, or by heart...and thanks to our Nan....who memorializes a page, may we always have that, due to the Wizard who manuevers this blue haven.... God Bless Ron. "The business of the poet...is to show the sorriness underlying the grandest things and the grandeur underlying the sorriest things." Thomas Hardy |

I find myself not able to come back here as much as I like. Even though it's been years since I properly posted on here, I still pop in every now and again. When I do, I make sure to find your posts because I know I'll find something great in them. You probably don't remember me, but your influence on me was great. Thank you for that. |
