Cold Chicago night, Warm Saharan might, Tropical trees, Tundren pines, All atop A spinning globe. Wait a minute; Before you leave. Close your eyes, And I'll close mine, Before you do... Read this through. Close your eyes, Exhale, Catch a whiff of air And cough. The world will spin for you, Life will go on, Open your eyes then Breath on. Know that it is nice, To a be a tree... Much enjoyed, Richard. I could feel the earth spinning in each stanza except the last one, where I could feel the steadfastness of being a tree! Owl |

To Ponderthepoetorrsx Answering your suggestion "The world will spin for you, Life will go on, Open your eyes then Breath on. Know that it is nice, To a be a tree..." \ I Am Oak my rings are hair turned white, spare flesh around the middle, the extra hang of fold in spreading branches that hold family together. leaves that fall as promised dreams. Like all of life’s best laid schemes, branches spread and old limbs creak living is not for the weak. jo perry a repost to PIP |
