LAST FLUTTERS 28 January 2014 In those butterfly moments, unfettering thoughts to waft where they will, before sinking luxuriously into cloud-pillowed surrender of sweet, undisturbed soul-sleep. Owl [This message has been edited by OwlSA (03-31-2014 03:54 AM).] |

Thank you, Jerry, for your kind words. Thank you, Nan. I am glad it was. Thank you, Lori, and giggles. Being a workaholic combined with a night owl and loving the magic of the night, and not wanting to miss out on anything, lol, I put off going to bed until the last moment, and so far, I have always made it to my bed before falling asleep on my way and clattering to the floor, but only just. lol! Thank you, EmmaRose. I hope I am misreading you in thinking that you struggle to sleep. And, yes, that moment of lying down on my bed and sinking into my pillow before sleep takes over is almost as delicious as fried mushrooms. Owl |

I remember you. I used to frequent this forum back in 2008, when I was 14, very young. Your writings always managed to keep me from being depressed and sad. I'm now 20, and I decided to come back. My name is Angel. Thank you for doing what you do. You've helped me, and you probably help a thousand other people with the beauty that your words hold. |

I remember you too! Your nom de plume then was Angel, wasn't it? Angel, I am totally blown away by your reply! I am so incredibly, incredibly, incredibly touched, to the extent that there are tears rolling down my face. You have made, not my day, not my week, not my month, but my year! I was born a teacher - taught my dolls from the age of 3 or 4 or thereabouts - and am a completely untrained, amateur, compulsive counsellor (but never was by profession or work title - never was, not even as a volunteer). On a few occasions, I have got myself into hot water - no, not hot water, lukewarm water - when I have meddled and tried to help people who didn't want to be helped or didn't need to be helped or thought they didn't need to be helped (but appreciated my concern) and I probably tried in all the wrong ways. Some others have said I helped, but your response is the most mind-blowing I have ever received in my 68 years. I am so incredibly, incredibly, incredibly honoured at what you say, that I am at a complete loss for words and all this rambling doesn't begin to express my gratitude or how honoured I feel. You have no idea how happy and grateful it makes me that my writings always managed to keep you from being depressed and sad. I think that "thousands" is a gross exaggeration, but thank you so much for thinking so. Whilst everyone loves to feel validated, old people (though I don't feel old and am healthier than anyone I have ever met) particularly LOVE feeling useful - and they have a great need to feel useful - and I am no exception at all. You have no idea how useful you make me feel. Thank you! Have a wonderful evening! Owl |

See how beautiful your words are, Diana. They even touched an angel. Ida [This message has been edited by Marchmadness (03-30-2014 11:43 PM).] |

Diana,I just popped in and was pleased to read A Damien Page's/ Angel's response. Validating your words and life as a whole. A bouquet of red roses to her for coming to express her feelings and to you for the ability to touch with words. martyJo |

Thank you, Martyjo. Yes, it was very sweet of him (I think Angel was his surname) to have said those lovely things. Thank you for the roses, lol, and I am sure that Damien would be delighted with his too. Now that was very sweet of YOU! Thank you, James. Owl |

I would have loved this even without the recording... you've captured the peace that precedes our slide into dreams so beautifully! But to hear your voice... that, dear lady, just fills my heart and makes me want to burst into a great WOOHOO that's totally at odds with the poem!!! LOL I had only a minute to peek in... you send me back to the werk monster with a smile on my face! *S* HUGS!! |
