GRATITUDE’S PALETTE
15 February 2014

Somewhere between
emerald thank yous
and nostalgic whens
and sapphire sorries
and ecstatic thens,
she dipped her todays
in the autumn shades
of yesteryears
and the spring colours
of tomorrows
and splashed
the shapes
and swirls
and twirls
and streaks
and blends
and story colours
all over her eager sky.

This is a good'n, Owl. I was mesmerized by the awesome (hate that word, but it fits) wordplay involved in the poem, especially the "nostalgic whens," and all the rest and concluding with every good thing tossed heavenward to serve as her sky. Yes!

Thank you Lori for your lovely response - and even more for Mizz Kitty's "smug cat" regards to me and Cleo-cat and Benji-dog!  Cleo and Benji were thrilled to get them and Cleo send purry-meeow-purrrrs and Benji sends waggy-tail woofs to Mizz Kitty and Auntie Di sends lots of huggles and kissles to her too!
