Time is a treacherous spider spinning an insidious web and all the while she smiles her secret smile and whispers, "Come to the edge, come to the web..." Ida Werrett |

Ida, Spiders are so good they can put that web right where you will put your face right in it in the dark! Insidious is much too kind. Lori |

Love the poem, Ida, and your clever, persuasive metaphorical spider. However, Jerry and Lori, you are being foofy to spiders. If you got to know them, you would find out that they are dear little creatures. Owl |

Owl, I'm not as foofy as I seem, I just don't like cobweb facials. Some spiders are very pretty and best of all they eat lots and lots of other creepy crawlies. Lori |

I've been called many things, Owl, but I have to admit foofy is a new one. "Upper class?" "Snooty?" Naw. None of those come close to what/who I am. Take a look at your own self. ~*~ In America, anyone can become president. That's the problem. ~*~ |

yes, fine analogy! ... or perhaps: Time is a whirlpool (or 'blackhole'?!) ... a confused mixture of illusions and reality plus order and chaos that draws us into infinity actually, time is one of (about a half dozen) 'grand unsolved mysteries' ... along with the true nature, origin, and evolution of human consciousness, gravity, and (so-called) 'dark' matter/energy (that seems to make up most of this universe) ... 'science' is not likely to make a great deal of further 'progress' until it finds an answer to these great and subtle unknowns! |

Yes, there are many secrets yet to be discovered and the mystery of time is just one of them. Thanks for reading everyone. Ida |
