          Love is All

Although a fiercely
cold and  glowering sky
of streaming cloud and
ghostly veiled-moon
  splendor
belies this eve of Spring,
change to come still whispers
in the restless Wintry wind
that sets the scraps of
withered leaves to dance
with shadowy hints of a
thousand small and fragile
   reawakening things.
May we dare to call even
this dark-uncertain waiting
time and distance …
  ‘Love?!’
