I am the better poet I can prove By higher tones Elastic words Which bend My message Deeper thought than common brewed Among the many authors Read My trend Profound Prolific Prodigious So you know When it comes to verse To rhyme And all such words combined I am a pro Some pitch balls And others hold the bat But when it comes to poems I've got balls To juggle and hold The hat! So tap your own to me when you walk by I am And watch me be it As I write I make my thoughts Fly high Alike a kite and if you think you're better Come and fight And prove But rest assured you'll lose I am the best Of poets I excel above the rest Unless you're dead Well then I can't contest "Striking thoughts make my mouth thunder as I brain storm." |

This isn't the poetical Indy 500, bub, there are no races to see who is best here. Just write your poems and quit getting into everybody's face. ~*~ There was a sign on the lawn at a drug re-hab center that said 'Keep off the Grass'. ~*~ [This message has been edited by JerryPat2 (03-09-2014 08:25 PM).] |

I'm pleased to see that you looked at it with humor yann. It was intended to be such. It takes a sense of humor to see into this. Agitation is a product of insecurity that obviously is the antithesis of humor. Besides, Kent violated no policies I know of and no moderator took umbrage with it either. Touch, but don't look |

I may should rather have dedicated this poem with a caption entitled (satire of pride) |

No Kent, I don't think so. After all, people will make something out of anything they wish, either good or bad, funny or sarcastic. Just don't try any critical attitude crapola yourself "bub", or you could be email boycotted for at least a week (or until the Prozac kicks in) This you already know. I just like to say it. Personally I like your writings and look forward to more as you will. Touch, but don't look |

Okay. I didn't know this poet before I read this. I suppose I have all sorts of hang ups because I thought he was coming on in a spiteful way. Sue me. I didn't understand. So I was wrong. I admit it. I was wrong. Lighten up. I'm also insecure I guess. ~*~ There was a sign on the lawn at a drug re-hab center that said 'Keep off the Grass'. ~*~ |

Jerry sir! I believe we all have all sorts of hang ups. I guess that is the whole point of this piece. Pride is a vicious thing. But thank you for expressing any thoughts you have about my work. I didn't post this to snare anyone. But poetry can certainly entangle the hearts and minds of others! Cheers to you and your work and all of your thoughts... "May they be ripe in seasoned and seaosoned right" this goes to all my piptalk peers. |
