     Love and Spring

The first soft day of ever
faithfully returning Spring
holds the perfect communion
   of sorrow and joy
in contemplation of all
that is dead, lost, or
irrevocable and that
which is as yet still
powerless to be born,
for the glorious ‘now’
hangs in this moment,
on the past and future
cusps of eternity,
wherein I can ‘see,’
by the luminous
glow of the heart-light,
that my Love for you
is far stronger than all
of life, death, and time.
