I am New Yorker,
I play Steinway
On the fifth avenue,
I climb at Macy
Buy my ties,
I am New York,
On high rises, I eat muffins,
I play the bagpipe,
I like the Saint Patrick's Day,
I buy what I see,
I stay up the Madison
The American symphonies
The eyes of the world are,
They are my green shoes
Which discovered the sky,
I smile to the passers-by,
In the moon which writes its unique poem,
Time Square and The empire state
My favorite hamburgers are,
I am New York,
King of elevators,
Those who meet me follow my steps,
I am beautiful as Hudson,
New Yorker up to the marrow.

Eh . . . I lived in New York City for about four years, but I wasn't nearly as hip as you, Yann.

There are lots of 'New Yorkers' that haven't seen the whole city. Even those who were born there, lived there all their life and died there.

You wrote well of it yann. You have a pretty good handle on it for such a short visit. I enjoyed reading your poetry.

Thanks bluesy,for very relevant note, i can refer to that, too, it is the same when you live in a town where you work, and have something else to do than tourism, i understand and feel that ,and there is a lot to do in new York, thanks for commenting
