What did Wee Elf, for Christmas get? Wee got his wish, a new chemistry set, Bunson burners, with chemicals galore, Wee Elf could not, have asked for more, Jumping for joy, Wee yelled whoopee do, What is the first thing Wee Elf can do? Wee thinks Wee’ll measure, then mix and sift, Wee’s gonna have fun with Wee’s Christmas gift, Then Santa Claus spoke with a voice slightly stern, “First my Wee friend, there’s a few things to learn, Safety first, then second and third, Safety is the most vital word.” Wee Elf replied, “Wee will be careful, No need to worry Santa, no need to be fearful.” Then Wee ran to the kitchen, with his chemistry set, Test tubes set up, yep, no problems yet, A wee bit of this, a wee bit of that, Mix it together, now that is that, Heat it all up, then give it a stir, Now I shan’t say, what next did occur, Except that Wee Elf, was sent to his room, Farewell Christmas gift, Wee filled with Wee gloom, It seems a good time, my Wee ode to end, No further verse, need there be penned, Except for the words, of dear Mrs. Claus, Upon seeing her kitchen, and after wee pause, Said, “It looks like Santa, will be eating a la carte With my kitchen floor, linoleum blown-apart.” Merry Christmas to all, and to all a Wee night! |
