I have a rendezvous with Death, Days I hope not will come, Ere youth has sped, I'm at my best, Ere voices sweet grow numb. . Sure some would cry it's down a long lane, To crown their days with sleep, Than face the road, the wind and rain, To heed the calling deep. Why?? One of the things that has changed on this site is posting and deleting poetry. Back in the day that kind of stuff never used to happen. I'm curious, do you delete your work because you don't like how it reads or because you didn't get a reply as soon as you would have liked? |

Aw yes youth is so fleeting. Now that I'm on the backside of the mountain death is imminent. But I've also learned to stop sweating the small stuff..hindsight is a good thing.  Very much enjoyed your poem JP. |

Your poetry is literal most of the time JerryPat, perhaps moreso of late than before. It's my opinion that you have come to terms with your mortality and you have done so fearlessly.
