I will never be able
to tell you I love you
more than I do

It's so much more
than mere semantics
it's in my silent desire
for you my angel
in my touch and in my eyes

To feel you beside me
to catch the scent of you
your hair, your skin
your breath

To touch your lovely lips
with a fingertip
drawing them into
the softest smile

Looking at you and
thanking God for
the wonderful
gift of you

How could anything
as fallible and inadequate
as words express what I feel for you?

Ah, those last lines had to be the ones which melted her heart. This, in my thinking, is a perfect poem.

Poet Ari, Really liked the finger-tip-trace to lips, very romantic. A lovely testament to love in all its glory.
