I thought of you today; wondered what your children might look like. Wondered about that old oak tree; do you remember? The one with initials carved naïve enough to miscomprehend the meaning of eternal? I doubt there's any sadness when I tell you that it's now a McDonald's. Time is a cold-hearted conquistador, no ounce of sentimentality. I had a double burger with cheese and relish. |

I've had those thoughts. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

Thanks, Jerry, you make me smile. I don't feel so alone now. |

Classic paving of paradise and all that it implies. Your ending was really perfect, and carries a hidden message, double meaning. All for a couple bucks. You are a wonderful poet Red. |
