He walked the low-sunned orchard Through a wintered-shadowed maze Trod the leafy, apple mulch Imagined August days Of Anna Marie and Ridgeway walks And soft-skin, cotton miles Of dancers' legs and lovers' grass And apres-passion smles He stepped the leafless, tangled aisles That stretched the dormant trees Held and apple-blossom kiss That rode the memory breeze He held a dreamer's, statue stare As a dying sun lay down Watched the sky entice the dusk In a peach and turquoise gown He fell so deep in Anne Marie Yet held no ached despair So gently touched those moments As her scent engulfed the air Oh, as those shadows merged to one And brilliance fell to grey Then fled those warming memories That held the chill at bay. So many good lines within a stellar theme Red, but these I found most attractive: quote:Thoroughly enjoyed reading. Loving Linny Jean is poetry. |

Enchanting! Every line provokes a beautiful soulful imagery. ~Lia "I kept always two books in my pocket, one to read, one to write in." - Robert Louis Stevenson |
