I know yesterdays, for they glimmer with steadfast truth

Some stand alone, and some come in open-handed twos

Oh yes, sure they argue, those stuffy lil’ ol’ antiques

But the kind ones’ still lay softly within cherished magazines

Adventurous woman who launched into great crusades

Rather than stay behind with regret of haunting serenades

Throwing loveliness & charm on sentimental voice shadows

Something beyond mere detail, became sudden bedfellows

Some inner goodness of an old soul, consciousness, in whose minds

Wore visions of a distant world, & sensed an unrelenting nation blind

Hues of primal narratives sway to and fro, like some whispering sea of tides

Beautiful visions of ghostly visitations, on a dream catcher which died

Then…

Brilliant, breathtaking, intensity of some discovered sixth sense

Impelled her to walk a perilous journey, of motivational expense

Interpreting a symbolic glimpse into the rise from this earth itself

So thoroughly engrossed in a beguiling song which realized…

herself

And there were times when those pages actually…

turned…
themselves…

Utterly, natural & inevitable…

I kicked those cigarettes

An ever-evolving story, that hasn’t finished…
just yet!

“sometimes when you think you’ve lost, you’ve really won!”

(wink)

Gotta love this uplifting poetry, and I sincerely do, LeeJ. I have, of course experienced much in my life, and now, looking back I can truly understand . . .

“sometimes when you think you’ve lost, you’ve really won!”

I relate to that theory BIG time. Great poetry . . .

An insightful read LeeJ. Every time I wake up it's one victory leading me to the next battle. The peace comes when I finally lose.

More feelings and fewer words please

Bless your heart sweet lady, it is really great to see your name here and read your words of wisdom.  I love the idea of the pages turning themselves.  We all have a story, and each one is unique unto itself.  I like to think everybody wins.  Thank you for sharing your thoughts, they are a bright spot on thee blue pages.
