Anxiety. Hybrid custom made for me. A little genetics, some PTSD. Kissin’ cousin to my depression, locks my world in captivity. Constantly toddering on my teetering insecurities, the fulcrum is apathy. I long for my love to putter about that petered out years ago. I wore rose colored glasses as a token back then, but they finally got broken beyond repair. As I have, I fear. Yet… There is that part that still whispers in my heart words I cannot deny. In my world of sucking stuckedness my muse becomes unfurled. My salve and salvation soothe me. I acknowledge that my default dysfunction is a natural fact of what makes up me and the who am I. I am a poet for better or worse. My past, be blessed or cursed wrong or right; it is the backfill from which I write. I’m fearless on paper. I’ll write as long as I’m able. It keeps my mind stable and at that rare junction where I can accept my default dysfunction. LGR© 6/23/16 |

Thanks Blues! I'm still writing for sure. My book just came out. Endangered Species. It is available at either Amazon.com or Createspace.com. Just in case you were wondering what I've been up to lately. ~L |

Lori, you would make a great analysts, and problem solver. Your words, to me, seem quaint, to the point, and descriptive of what living an everyday life could be to so many people. And saying it in poetry, so succinctly, is brilliant. I Really enjoyed the read... JL Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. |

Wow thanks JL for your generously kind words! I'm glad it didn't come across as me just whining about my depression again. Thanks again for commenting. ~L |
