If I possess a living soul Let it fill my life's frugal bowl: And mix elixirs' grand design, To give me peace before my time: Give me intellect to inspire, To always be one to admire, And if my breath will breathe for naught, 'Ere the cause of death; a love clot. ©April 13, 2016 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

A "Love clot". Ingenuous Jerry. Has the rhythm of a bedtime prayer. Are you expecting to leave us? This sounds a bit like a personal 'last rite'. To have a "love clot" when buying the farm is better than to have no "love clot" when 'closing' the deal. Excellent poetry Jerry. More feelings and fewer words please |

Hah! No, Ari, I'm not expecting to leave you anytime soon. Still, at my age you tend to think about death more than normal I imagine. Thank you for reading and commenting on my poem. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |
