Palm Springs commercial photography

Eternal woman
In perpetual state
of expectation,
glances over her
shoulder waiting for
her lover, real or
imaginary,
to catch up with her.

Like a wounded bird
trapped in a gilded
cage, misery casts
on her a shroud of
pain and depression.
A wilted flower
she is, left outcast
kicked by the roadside.

Still she dreams of chimes
pealing at midnight
softly enticing,
her heart gets ready
to face the dawnbreak
clasping any crumbs
of love thrown her way
faith, hope enkindled.

Disturbing, although very revealing write, jjote. Many are cast aside in the shallowness of winners and losers. If we but "look" at those passers by we can see and understand people like her, head cast down for there is nothing in their future to cause them to lift their heads and look forward to that future.

Thanks Jerry & James - this photo caught my eye - something mysterious in her a d yes, disturbing in its sense  of trying to run away from something or someone..
