Rose colored glasses, I remember them well. They let me see the good in people as I walked into their hell. Happy thoughts in a mind naïve, too willing to trust and eager to believe. Always on the bright side, accused of being too nice. I had to learn the hard way as I‘m not one to follow advice. The glasses finally flew off midst chaos I was in way over my head. I couldn’t let my heart remain boss or I’d wind up dead. Those rose colored glasses weren’t cheap, their latent lessons were quite pricey. The times were dark and deep that took them from me. Still, I miss them all the same. Life appeared to me then to be a kinder gentler game. I looked at people with hope and promises of better days. Today it is hard to cope and I’m jaded to worldly ways. Without rose colored glasses to see the stars, I’m left in the aftermath staring at my rose colored scars. |

Lots of great lines in this one Lori. The truth is complicated and harsh sometimes. However, this is a great write explaining how you coped with it all. Enjoyed the read very much! Eric true love never looks after it's own interests |
