how could I forget Virginia
or Dallas, Texas
or Jimmy and Virginia's sister
I've forgotten her name
Virginia had (real) blond hair
Jimmy and her sister lived together
they set me up with a blind date with Virginia
the four of us went dancing
Virginia and I melded into each other's arms
on that dance floor
some hope-to-hit-it-big country band
was kicking ass
had us clinging to each other
oblivious to everyone else
by the time Virginia and I made it to my apartment
we had groped each other senseless
on that dance floor
Jimmy and her sister were long gone
we were on the sofa
having a nightcap and sucking
each other's tongues
after awhile I said, how about let's go into the bedroom?
she said, "You'll have to pick me up and carry me."
I said, huh?
she said it again
so what's a guy to do in a situation like that
right
I stood, gathered her into my arms
and we played house the rest of the night
Virginia and I were an item after that
she was a good person
dy-na-mite in bed
we'd probably still be together
except for that terrible, terrible night
when her eight-year-old daughter
came into the room where we were and said
I'LL CALL THE POLICE!

Ending line was "perfect!"  And much better than "wait until I tell Daddy!!".

enjoyed, my friend!

Sorry jjote, but you are correct, our "romantic interlude" was absolutely cut short.   Happy Easter if you observe it,if you do not, Happy Sunday!.
