Yesterday - Caught a reflection In the window of the door, as I approached my favorite bar. There was an old man looking back at me, eyes plowing deep into mine, moving pictures scrolling across enlarged pupils: years, deep into my past and fear chilled me deep inside. Today - No reflection in the window, as I walked up to the bar room door. What trick of light is this, that it no longer mirrors what it sees? I reach for the handle . . . Oh. My. I fear an end is coming. And the end . . . may be mine.

Hey, dear Jimmy, why do you indulge in such melancholic thoughts, Poet? No doubt, you succeeded in rendering a simple gesture of opening a door in a moment charged with mystery and even ... a slight attack of panic!! My friend, you just didn't see that they were about to replace the window in the door, as someone before you had walked right into it!
