Hidden There's a poem hiding in me, Waiting for the need To empty words of sadness And feelings to succeed From a world that's changed forever In more ways than just one. Trying to adjust for now Until each day is done. M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." (Will Moss) |

"Trying to adjust for now" Sometimes that's all we can do, even though we feel that changing inside... and know it promises something brighter. Relate well to this one. Michael |

Thanks Michael. It has been awhile since I have posted anything. Time and life has gotten in the way a bit and I definitely miss everyone on here. Sorry about the weird posting at first. I couldn't get it to line up properly (... out of practice ) |

Yep, you said it right when you penned this line . . . quote: ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

Jerry, my world and the outside world has changed so much and I am afraid...not for the better. |

I hear you, one day at a time. A gentleman said hello to me the other day and I replied how are you doing, and he says, doing the best I can, same as you. I'm so glad to see your name here maureen. Expecting my third grand baby in a couple weeks. I am so often reminded of Fleetwood Mac lyrics... Time makes you bolder Even children get older And I'm getting older too. Love to you |

"the outside world has changed so much and I am afraid...not for the better". Everyone says the same thing too. It doesn't matter if you are 200 years old you heard it. My Billy's daddy says don't look back and not too far ahead. Just where you stand is good enough. Nice poem though and don't worry! It takes electric to make these computers work so we can always post poems. If I were more than I am, I'd see things differently instead of the same all the time. |

It feels really good to see you back here, dear Maureen. You say it well, there are hidden poems within our hearts which just wait to be dis-covered and perceived. What we can do is making silence, putting all the worries aside and listen to our innermost emotions ... then they flood us and it will be possible to share them. Change is bound to happen, we can still try to steer the world into a new direction where the power of love will rule, it begins with each of us. It is not an easy task, but we must refuse to be victims of fear. (I know this to be true, but we are often rather fragile and succumb to sadness). Have a beautiful Sunday! Love and hugs. Maureen,Always love to see your smiling face. You have much to give. The world is always changing. It made huge ones in the early thirties and then again in the war years in the early forties. Again in the so called Hippie area and a big change in 1969.It seemed nothing was the same after that but we have all survived the changes and all we can do now is to try to keep a positive attitude and talk the talk and walk the walk.Hope the sensible win and the world becomes one again. love to you.JO |

Thank you, my wonderful poet friends. Just finished shoveling 7 hrs worth of snow from my car and my neighbors. I am sure I won't be able to move tomorrow but there is no school due to this "blizzard"...M |

"From a world that's changed forever In more ways than just one." I know this feeling. The words are only hidden because of the many, many different thoughts and concerns that each day brings. Love the write. Enjoyed. JL Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. |

Been a long time since I read your words Maureen. But we do go back a long ways. I see your words are still as sensitive and intelligent as always. These words express the truth of the era for all of us. From a world that's changed forever In more ways than just one. Trying to adjust for now Until each day is done. That's what the majority faces for now so we extract the remaining beauty from the best that we can be and see. Take Care Eric true love never looks after it's own interests |
