A Poet A ‘poet’ is… the ocean in a desert mirage the ‘voice’ of a snowflake in a blizzard the moon’s quicksilver image in a lake the spectral shadow in a broken mirror a raindrop that longs to move a mountain a glimpse of eternity painted in words a comet-rider in the infinite cosmic void a dream-drifter dancing alone and invisible in the wilderness of life --- b. e. adams (janus 2016) |

Yes, Bruce, poets are many, many things and many different things when needed . . . quote: I love this line completely. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

I like how you see poets in your various ways here in your poetry SHDP. I never consider myself a poet, more of a writer perhaps, but not a poet. Poets, to me, are writers like JerryPat, Miss Lori, Margherita, Cari, ice, and not the least of them is yourself of course. There certainly are others too numerous to mention, but I prefer my 'status' to be a writer. That works in a more generic way for me and no one will expect too much, good or bad. Great post! 88's friend She told me "play one for your supper Danny and maybe you'll get breakfast". |

Beautiful poem ! It was just a thought which made them run. It was just an act that killed them. |

As always, I enjoyed! "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." |

Nicely said, Bruce. I couldn't live up to all that so glad I'm a story writer and not a poet but you, kind sir, are a poet! |

Thanks so much to each and all of you for commenting on this lil' "poetic scribble!" ... my "CoNFuter" (that's short for "CoNFuse and conquer") has been 'down and out' for a week; so I was only just now able to access this website and read your comments ... |

Wonderful poetic list! I love this one.... a glimpse of eternity painted in words true love never looks after it's own interests |
