if I have a eulogy
it will be of flickering neon lights
they might . . .
When the grave they dig
bury me with a bottle
of cheap California burgundy
and nurture the soil
with the tears I have shed

Admittingly, I've given no thought of eulogies for myself Mr. Bolton, but I feel your own will be much deeper than your perceived internment.

You are a beloved poet here. I could see that first in your poetry and second in the many positive responding readers and friends you have here.

You may see yourself any way you wish, of course, but the way others see you will be much more kind and humble when your "eulogy" comes of age.

In the meantime, remember my signature as we toast the good times.

Here's to you and here's to me and should we ever disagree, here's to me!

I hear ya Jerry. (wrote my epitaph years ago)  It begins:  Carve my butt in stone...and ends ...a stone for you to kiss.
No matter how bad you get to feeling about your situation, there are those that would trade places with you. ~L

Actually Lori, I don't feel bad about my situation. And as far as "a stone for you to kiss." I'm ready, sweet one. Heh.Heh Thanks, my friend, your comments are so happily received . . .
