My poetry has been critiqued as horrid tripe. My poetry is weak and uninteresting. Some people don't understand my poetry. I'm not a very good writer of poetry. My little odes are not often appreciated by some. Sometimes I hate what I write. I'm isolated within my thoughts and lack talent. I use the term 'I' a lot to draw attention. I use 'my' a lot to draw attention. I use my age to draw attention. I use my my my my my my my my my I I I I I I I a lot to draw attention. I often sit on an air hose to pump myself up after repeated deflations of ego. **I was told that 'reverse psychology' really works. I think she/he said he/she was a poet/poetress, whatever that/those is/are. ** Here's to you and here's to me and should we ever disagree, here's to me! |

one of my (many!) 'critics' called my 'word-paintings' "nothing but happy/smarmy pseudo-sentimental syrup-dipped tripe!" ... I don't exactly concur; however that was fairly good writing on his part (though not as good as when John Updike referred to birds sitting randomly on a wire as "punctuation for an invisible sentence!") 'Critics' are most often typically folks steeped in mediocrity and incapable of doing themselves that which they critique ... |

Thank you Mr. Adams and Mr. Bolton for your "kick-ass" comments. Weren't those the days. Here's to you and here's to me and should we ever disagree, here's to me! |

Men are in the barrack and women are who we wrote to. That's way of it in my recall Mr Bolton, and some found it romantic. If that makes me worthy of cultural labeling, so be it. I apologize for nothing if in my righteous sight, I find it honorable. Moment to moment, I am not. I wrote of you in an honorable fashion with great respect in your "Eulogy" post, and I meant what I said. Do not, therefore, make demands of me or write with sarcasm in this, or any other post with any air of seriousness. Here's to you and here's to me and should we ever disagree, here's to me! |
