She sat perched upon her proclivity brushing her long brown hair. She pondered her past way of thinking. Somewhere she had gotten the notion she was nothing but her bad habits. So to think she was good was a lie. She felt like a fraud in the face of compliments. Her accomplishments were thanks to others and the Grace of God. She hid her shame behind makeup and curls, but never quite felt like one of the girls. But that was then and now is now, she thought to herself, as she looked her reflection dead in the eye. In her hazel of that moment it became clear she had a heart of good intentions, and never to doubt it. And as to proclivity, those without it can be few and far between. She realized her fears made her human and she need not hide them. To give them voice is to conquer and divide them. She flipped her hair to the side as she let out her breath and smiled. She winked at the new woman she’d found and said goodbye to the frightened child. LGR©12/17/15 |

Reads like a revelation that has taken place in spite of circumstance Miss Lori. As the years crept up me, I felt somewhat the same. I decided it was best to 'go with my flow' or fight it out with myself every time I shaved. Don't spare the horses, full speed ahead! 88's friend She told me "play one for your supper Danny and maybe you'll get breakfast". |

No doubt Tf! I've wasted enough time as it is. I have a birthday coming up and I'm getting too old for my own head games. I'd like to think I'm done pinning the tail on this jackass. ~L |

Yes, I'm looking for my motivation, I know it is in here some where. ~L |

It's never too late, isn't it, to become aware of one's own worth. You say it in vivid imagery, dear Lori. Fears bear tears and joys bear toys (whatever pleases us!). Funny how this came to mind Anyway, we have reasons to be proud of our proclivities! Love, Margherita |

Lori: Your motivation is in your own words. Enjoyed the session, and poem. JL Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. |

A well related personal epiphany. We should all be as fortunate as your brown-haired Queen. Tell her not to look back. Too much salt spoils the broth. Here's to you and here's to me and should we ever disagree, here's to me! |

She won't kind sir. She of all people would turn to a pillar of salt. Thank you ~L [This message has been edited by Lori Grosser Rhoden (12-18-2015 09:08 AM).] |
