Maybe Tomorrow |

I wish I could love you Though I run scared When attraction grows and daydreams whisper Of rings and things I should feel easy in your arms Not thoughts of capture There is thrill in your kiss Though the tug of freedom is stronger I wish I could love you Surrender to your longing Engage in your desires But far horizons beckon So maybe tomorrow. |

Something for one to look forward to on one hand while the other says, "why wait"? Tomorrow is promised to no one. 88's friend She told me "play one for your supper Danny and maybe you'll get breakfast". |

That is exactly how I felt and reacted in my young years ... so I understand very well. You expressed your sentiments gently and yet, if this is real, the suffering on the other side can't be avoided. ... then tomorrow comes the day when you - maybe - will put love on the top and "freedom" at the second place of the wish list. Much enjoyed. Margherita |

To be honest I as trying to let the girl down easy because I wasn’t in the relationship for the long haul. I never intended to marry before thirty and didn’t, there is so much to do in life and you only get one chance. Thanks for reading. |

Cari - The learned say there is a yearning in the human spirit that rebels against being chained or tied down until it's ready to be so, like 'maybe tomorrow' but just not today. Human beings! You gotta love 'em! Nice work to muse on. Enjoyed. Namyh |

Some well observed truth in this that chimes with my own, maybe everyone's experience, enjoyed the read. Thanks Pete |
