Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2015-12-14 03:16 PM

In my unabashed past
when skin was thin
and hair long and flowing,
a sarong and a thong
was all my goddess needed
to feel enchanting.
I was at the peak
of femininity.
Estrogen winds
caressed my skin
under the billowing skirt
that I would flirt.
I felt confident
and strong.
I owned the day
all day long,
and a few nights too.
But, it was too good
to be true.
I fell in love,
as goddesses often do,
with a man that
when it came to Goddesses
hadn’t a clue.
He’d never heard of such a crock,
dismissed it as wacky woman talk.
I thought the concept was simple
I could simply explain…
I tried to, again and again.
But he just didn’t get it.
I couldn’t fit it
into his head.
So slowly my Goddess faded
from sight.
Now, because of a lack of attention
she’s dead.

Naw . . . Sorry Lori, but your goddess will never fade . . .

That 'gods' and 'goddesses' once existed in us is a magical refrain waiting for the sweetness of the melody to return, as it always does.

Hold that window-shattering 'C' 'til you run out of breath Miss Lori!

Oh no, the Goddess in you may just be asleep for a while just to awaken again to a new golden time. Goddesses can't fade away, they are of resistant substance ... star dust, let's say!

It was a joy to read you and I am looking forward to the awakening ... it will be explosive, no doubt!

Love,
Margherita

Lori, I don't know anything about goddesses,
but I do know you have a wonderful heart and soul, as you display in your writings.

"But he just didn’t get it.
I couldn’t fit it
into his head".

So I asked myself, him or me?
So I faded him to black

So? The Goddess lives once more.

Kind sir,
Apparently she was only sleeping.  But, a voice from far away stirred her slumber. She is waking now. Still groggy and disheveled, she is smiling none the less. ~L
