Beneath The Line

A veil lifted from the Earth Mothers' face,
Revealing her soft dark eyes and gentle smile

Her brilliance cast a shimmering glow
Upon waterfalls of tears which then became deserts

Beauty and despondency mirrored each other
Taking bitter and sweet in timeless torture

I like it like that, a full spectrum of feelings
The good, the bad, and the indifferent

After all, she only lent herself to me
She never said I could have her

Here's to you and here's to me and should we ever disagree, here's to me!

Wonderfully expressed, dear Mr. Martini! And food for thought for sure. We are so richly blessed for free, possession is not necessary. But we are surely invited to care for each other and for the gift of life in whatever form.

My kind Sir,

You are a free soul
fearless to face the spectrum
a Renaissance man

A pleasure to read
captivating enigma
hanging on each word

You write as though possessed, Mr. Martini, which is why your words captivate so . . .

~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~
