There Was Once A Rosemary |

Time savors its victory For which I have no defense So I spend the whiles delicately In memories of you I once thought the sea was telling But no It was just me listening Listening for the sound of your smile Your thick raven hair laying over my shoulder Your dark eyes limpid and possessing Slowly tracing paths to my own Your soft comforting arms around me Days are shorter now and shadows show the best of me But I still see, feel, and smell the rapture Of those days when time was more obedient And we were so restless within it Here's to you and here's to me and should we ever disagree, here's to me! |

Those memories, they can be most rewarding, even though we sometimes have a tendency to exaggerate them. ~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~ |
