There's a shadow now Where her finger used to be As the sun lays lightly On the handle of her coffee cup The mournful walls greet me In suggestive silence That I choose to ignore If not for them I would be guiltless Still, I am bound to hear them out In unguarded moments When the walls speak in silence And the sun lays lightly On the handle of her coffee cup Here's to you and here's to me and should we ever disagree, here's to me! |
