It's a perfect day for going on a plane trip from the lounge looking outside, the air looks scrubbed by the rain the night before now the plane is set for take off I hold my breath, close my eyes, before I could take another deep breath, we are an arrow shooting into space earth below is a horizon caught in sunlight swiftly rising and fading like a mirage the sea a saucer of sparkle the plane streaks seemingly unmoving on a bed of clouds that shimmer white and blinding with sun's glare all these a virtuoso display meld into a silent symphony against the sky I close my eyes again and immerse myself with the dip and sway of the plane but before long inane conversations of disparate peoples shatter my reverie. I am in a battlefield, voices like bullets are ricocheting all around me as plane departure has been delayed the pilot is on a race to catch up with a scheduled arrival at destination he flies the plane like some biker on a mad motor ride it's now a bumpy ride but we are gaining distance the plane swoops down - an eagle bent on capturing its prey and eureka, we have landed on time safely if not shakily. @jjote 11212015 |

Wow, you have taken me on this plane adventure, with your powerful visions, dear Josefina. Flying is like an in-built dream for most of us, and we seek this inebriation of freedom in many of our actions, running, driving cars and bikes. We just have to keep in mind that we lack the wings of eagles ...  Great job! Love, Margherita |

It has been many, many years since I have boarded a plane. My last plane ride was awful enough for me to swear off flying forever. ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |
