The Middle East weeps
Tears of lost and broken souls
There is no mercy

No, there is not one ounce of mercy within those savage, murderous hearts.

"There is no mercy"

Well said L.G.R.

yet:
For Mercy has a human heart,
Pity a human face,
And Love, the human form divine,
And Peace, the human dress.

W. Blake

W Blake,
You should post this-

"For Mercy has a human heart,
Pity a human face,
And Love, the human form divine,
And Peace, the human dress."

When were these tragic episodes not occurring in the Middle East?

Being stoned to death, hacked to death, burned to death, speared and shot to death, blown apart and beheaded and they're not done yet. The worst (yes it gets worse and closer) is yet to come.

We know truth is stranger than fiction, but fiction is more fun. Whatever you can do to help someone, any one, in any situation within your reach, do so with dispatch, and a comforting smile.

Good, short poem. Two things we could definitely do with less of and more of respectively, tears and mercy.
Thanks
Pete
