My life is a freeway at night a bright river of moving lights its current constantly flowing I never know how it will end Moments of clarity are rare errors elude resolution memory flashes crowd my mind they dangle like unraveled threads A lingering fog creeps slowly autumn air feels like shards of ice the wind carries my silent cries no one listens or cares at all I need to hug good visions of myself discarding the loose ends that drag me down @jjote 11172015 [This message has been edited by jjote (11-17-2015 11:34 AM).] |

Darn, jjote, I could've written this about myself. The old age I have suddenly(?) found myself in is confusing to say the least, and the least I could say about it, the best I guess. ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

quote: A realization that will have a powerfully positive effect on you Miss jjote. An inspiring piece indeed! 88's friend She told me "play one for your supper Danny and maybe you'll get breakfast". |

This is such a touching, sad poem. I understand it so well. Yes, remind yourself of your worth. Your poetry alone is worth much! Smiles, Constance |

Raw, hones, yet confronting. However in the last line I see a strong woman standing. |
