Autumn is a colorful cider scented pageant. It is a celebration of sweaters, thick soups and cuddling. Autumn is a million fallen leaves to do with what you will. It is cold rain and wind that sends you inside to find your cozy. Autumn is a grand party thrown to say farewell to the last of the living before the frost comes. All the colors come to say goodbye until Spring. LGRĀ©10/21/15 |

You betcha, Lori, and I was one happy guy for Autumn to arrive this year, more so than ever before. ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

This is a poem all on its own Miss Lori: quote:Definitely my favorite for the changing of the season. The optimism your poetry expresses is refreshing. Most of what I hear (and sometimes read) is more lamenting in tone. For me, hot weather and I are in agreement. I also like the cooler months. The temperatures up north where I once lived could linger for weeks at or below zero and I could dress for that and enjoy the crisp, cold air. In fact, it actually had a clean, fresh taste to it. But nowadays, I like it hot. Spread it around. 88's friend She told me "play one for your supper Danny and maybe you'll get breakfast". |

Thanks TF! I can't handle the heat anymore so I am a recluse in the summer in Kansas. If I can't find shade to stand in my goose is cooked. I have always loved the fall with the trees turning the colors of the sunset. Not to mention all the foods that come with the season as well. The next cool rainy day we have I think I'll make a pot of chili and bake some corn bread. ~L |

Wonderful musings over Autumn, dear Lori! We also indulge in some special Autumn pleasure, we enjoy the chestnuts, those are cozy moments indeed (with a glass of red wine!) Love, Margherita |

Simply lovely. I'm thinking that we would have been instant friends, had we met on an Autumn day in Kansas. smiles, Constance |
