Transience and Change Among the slowing drifting clouds and stars the moon pierces a deep-October sky. We are but dreamwalkers alone in this traceless life and the mystery of Time. No matter which road one travels, there is only the certain certainty of permanent impermanence. In yesterday, today, tomorrow there is no special meaning or truth. Cling to nothing for all is transience and change. --- b. e. adams (10/8/2015) There are likely several hundred billion stars in our “Milky Way” galaxy alone … and several hundred billion galaxies in the ‘known’ universe … which may itself be of infinite extent or one of an infinity of universes … what does any man truly ‘know?!’ … |

quote: While being somewhat new to reading your poetry (which I thoroughly enjoy), this is a bit of a different take. A nihilistic approach to life is often born from solitude. The opposite of course is to discover and nurture faith in a creator. It's usually one way or the other. The first is easy for some and the second a little more difficult. Still, we all possess one thing in common and have all along in our journey and that is the freedom to choose what we wish to believe and what we choose to live or die for. In any respect, thank you for a most intriguing post SHDP. I'll look forward to reading more of your writing. 88's friend She told me "play one for your supper Danny and maybe you'll get breakfast". |
