A theme in our message presented and received today, "Truth is on Life Support" in today's world. I'm hoping to be able to do this topic justice, but I am also interested in seeing others tackle this theme. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

I must say, I'm having trouble myself. I don't want to just do a recap of the message. I want to encapsulate His truth without just echoing Pastor's words. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

If it was a poem you were looking for VAS, this is my contribution: There are those who walk in faithful gait Knowing the promises of God They are few among the masses Traveling the long and narrow road That Truth is said to be on the wane Is to them an encouraging sign The prophets spoke of just such things In for them a future time That time has arrived in this generation Which proves God's Truth will prevail Keys of the Kingdom unlock Daniel's secrets Christ's Revelation is near So remember to watch and pray for the day Truth rides a proud white steed And you shall know the Truth my friends And the Truth shall set you free (Last two lines based on the book of John, chapter 8, verse 32) 88's She told me "play one for your supper Danny and maybe you'll get breakfast". |

Here are my feelings about truth: These Times The Truth is as it always has been and always will be, silently screaming. The Truth is; we have always been, and always will be, desperately believing. What we believe we call truth because it is our reality. It is all we know. What we call facts are often times Truths. But facts have a way of changing. The Truth always remains the same. Truth is ageless and timeless, unchanged by discoveries, perspectives and bias. Truth changes our perspectives and bias with its revelation within us. We do not so much learn the truth as we, instead, come to recognize it. Truth changes us by our discovery of it. One truth leads to another. Truth in its entirety is incomprehensible. It is too much to conceive all of its implications. We trust in Truth, if nothing else. We hold on to Truth with faith. LGRĀ©10/10/15 |
