there will
be a time
when we
must sleep
a time when
we will know
that the best
of dreams
came true
while we
were awake
awake in
each other
and alive in
each others
dreams

Thank you Miss Lori for your nice reply!

Say, is it me or has the site gone mysteriously quiet since my arrival?

I bathe almost daily, brush and floss after every meal, and my deodorant is supposed to be good for 24 hours.

What's up?

Naw, it isn't you, Ticklefingers, it has been dying for quite some time now. Used to be it was myself and Lori who kept things going, with  very few others. Pardon me for butting in, you did ask Miss Lori.

Your poem was a wonderful and soothing piece of writing, which gave the reader a warm glow as he(me) read it. The ending gave it that special feeling which everyone can relate to. A poem for the masses.

It comes and goes like tides in a big blue sea, but with no rhyme nor reason I have yet to discern. Jerry gets disgruntled and complains to whomever will listen and threatens to leave as well. Then things start to pick up again and we get some new writers and Jerry is usually a first responder. Eh, it is what it is. Personally I just love your aftershave...~L

That its all in a bit of a decline is a relief on the 'A' side JerryPat, but the 'B' side leaves me to wonder what one can do about it.

By the way Southern Lou, you can 'butt' in anytime! Helps to keep things rollin'. I recall crashing a party and things were oh so stale, you know what I mean? So I tried to start a food fight and got the hell beat out of me!

It was great after that!

Miss Lori?

I'm too tanned to notice, but I think I just 'felt' like I was blushing. I also think that the feeling added 10 years to and 20 years off my life.

I'll have to keep that stuff in stock!

Wow... profound statement that.  The very soul of love exposed in those words.

You have to remember this little home was started years ago.I came on in '99 just to read as I never considered myself a poet.I did not post until mid 200s. Still not a poet but enjoy so much the reading. Many of the early poets who made this site what it is have since passed on. I will surely be in the the next group to go. Best to all who have hung in here. Jo

Respectfully latearrival, your comment...
quote:
the early poets who made this site what it is
indicates that the site is finished and leaves no credit to those writers who sustain it.

I haven't the posts you do nor of the many others here have, but I have been here before. It was somewhat busier, but not a great deal so. Many I know of left to become members of other poetry sites that were popping up at the time and had more bells & whistles and greater social networking.

We newbies would like to keep things going at Pip, but ultimately that decision isn't ours to make.

It's whoever pays the piper.

Thanks for your visit and many respects to you.

Tickle fingers. I welcome you and your great posts. I am sorry.I did not mean it as you read it. I meant the beginners made it what it is as they were the first.I did not know any of them either when I first joined. But because I liked the kind of people I saw and the words I read, I felt comfortable. Ron has made this site and he has done a wonderful job.I had looked into a few others in the beginning but there was nothing compared to this one and all who joined were such kind and loving people.
No offense to anyone still joining.I am now 83 years old and still love to pop in and look it over.I am not a poet just like to write and share thoughts once in a while. Best to you, latearrival /Jo Perry
