the days seem never to end the nights last even longer they go on but you are gone caffeine provides some fortitude but not nearly enough to silence the certainty that you are gone outside belies calm the storm rages within it howls, it moans your absence it pelts me with regrets you are gone repeatedly it patters you are gone you are gone I reach to touch but am stopped short you are gone beyond endurance' grasp I find a shelter under our Savior's protecting hands His comforting touch lets me know you are not gone just out of my reach but not out of His Lord Jesus, hold my baby for me |

What a poem! I wasn't able to understand if "baby" was a real-life baby, or the more mature kind. Matters not, what matters is the fact that you worked yourself around and stopped at a familiar place and put your trust there. I loved this. ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

ah jerry thanks, your understanding was right...was written for my would have been 41 this year baby, and also for a 32 year old 'baby' of some friends of ours who just died, but yes 'baby' means love, no matter the age thanks again |

The ache in this is clear...pure. There is comfort with our Lord. Michael |
