The Last Companion On this September evening the moonlight is the water and the water is the sky in this scene quite unlike any other that has ever been; This is a night of shimmering stars in a memory mirage where nothing lingers long beyond the dream of all that is conceivably beautiful and unrealized. Where is the one with whom I would wish to share the moon for an infinity of tomorrows? She has chosen far divergent paths from which there is no return leaving loneliness here, the last companion. --- b. e. adams (9/27/2015) |

While reading this delicately written work, the connection of emotions with environment (nature if you will), is most profound. The depths of loneliness are well-defined as your "last companion". I am sorry for your loss friend. You write of it well. 88's to you. She told me "play one for your supper Danny and maybe you'll get breakfast". |
