He loves me.
As I do him.
We see it
when our eyes meet.
We feel it
when our hands brush gently
as we walk side by side.
We hear it
when we talk about anything.

Sometimes we find ourselves wishing
for somethings missed.
Things we used to say and do
when we were just two.
We love our child endlessly
he is everything that makes us happy.
Whatching him grow, laugh and play.
Nothing compares to that pride and joy,
of our little boy.

Though from time to time,
it would be nice to walk in the moon light.
If he was at grandma's for a night.
Have a grown up date just us two.
With out the kids menu.

All that said,
I wouldn't change my life.
Not one single day or night.
Motherhood is the greatest joy I've felt
His father and I are engaged,
to be married someday.
So everything is just right.

Eh . . . Looks like you could let someone keep him long enough for you two to have that "date." I'd sure try to make it happen, later on your life it may be even more hectic than it is now.

Eh . . . meant nothing . . . Think of it as clearing your throat before you start talking. Just an old man's oddity.

I know the feeling a child brings to people's lives, but even now, as a grandma, they still do. Just hold on to these precious moments.
