Final Declaration The clunking of the plane's wheels releasing their hold on the ground, and folding up to hide behind wind-blocking plates of silvery, metal skin, was the final declaration at the end of the last thing you said. Goodbye. My soul stayed behind, with you A final clunk . . . and the clouds clutched me to the sky, a misty haze outside the window, hiding the world.
