the path you once took to and from my heart, is now lost in spider webs of sorrow if this life were not a dream I would be with you again why must love be left unfinished is love in a dream any less real or more fleeting than in all this waking world the smallest ripple dances for but a moment with the caress of the slightest breeze was this our love how subtly its color fades loves flower of the human heart even having been with you only once I long for you worlds upon worlds the morning dew summer mirages sunset shadows and fox-fire dreams are all long-lasting compared to love Autumn memories is that love’s distant footsteps on fallen leaves In the broken heart, too many doors for love to leave lovely lady when did we become clouds floating in opposite directions? --- b. e. adams (8/23/2015) |

Thanks Jo! ... more perhaps though, I have a "way" with sadness and loss (too much 'personal experience') |

Especially liked "Lovely lady when did we become clouds floating in different directions." Reminded me of that Rolling Stones song "Heh you get off of my cloud." James |
