It feels good to shut the door at the end of a workday, not let it spill over into evening to lie prone and still, learn to spread my mind wide as the universe is. I cannot fly like a bird except in wild, free dreams At the height where birds disappear, I see clouds make pointed angel wings that stream past sunsets, then shred into plain gray clouds. When night comes I am content looking up at a moon pricked through a thin cloud and stars shaped like people and animals dancing the earth's dances - they are the apex of earth's turning. I see in the dark a denser dark following me soon darkness embraces me I fall asleep as the halogen beams of light disappear on a breath of wind. @jjote 072815 |

I love to lie there and watch the moon, there is just some kind of magic it seems to radiate. Think I'll post a moon poem. ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

Nice writing. I particularly liked the following two lines: "...I fall asleep as the halogen beams of light disappear on a breath of wind." CG |
