After forty years
of worrying
and avoiding
my peers
for fear of
facing scrutiny
of my past….
I find everyone
more interested
in their BBQ
than me.
Much to do
about nothing.

Yes, still you might have been right back in those days when the news was fresh . . . So maybe the much to do "was" about something after all.

Also back in the day they had formal dinners that cost out the wazoo.... Didn't sound like a good time anyway. Thanks for commenting. ~L
