We stand on the red of the alien horizon We were the braze few once before the false horizon fell The man made sun lit the old sky And all we once were caught and burned. Now it is all just dreams No longer will we be blessed with green No true colours will calm us inside No blue sky to greet us awake No rain to hide the emotions pour So we each have our dream Our yesterdays we can not put away We do not speak of it here As if our shared past were ours alone As if they were just collectied secrets "I recall a fine day The walls bright and clean A house lived in love A life of sun and warmth I taste air so sweet and kisses and angel feet She comes to me And holds my hand We stand a pair watching the world spin watch the winds ride and the seas flow She turns and we kiss It is a lost kind of magic So simple and now forgotten Eyes grip each other tight" And the memory slips Each night it is less than it was I reach into my mind to find To touch that small group of sensations To draw what I can from them To convince only myself I WAS there This is not all there has ever been We were not always alone As we were today, as we were yesterday That what I hold was once real That I was not always the ghost I am That it truly is a memory of Earth I aint as good as I once was but I'm as good, once, as I ever was. - Toby Keith |

"We were the braze few once before the false horizon fell" ~feels as if it has..sometimes. great lines! "No longer will we be blessed with green" ~ sad truth here too. "Each night it is less than it was I reach into my mind to find" ~ I stew hard, as *this happens to some of my best memories too. Somber in shades of Gaia and completed love..
